Standing Tibialis Raise
How to do the Standing Tibialis Raise with good form: step-by-step technique, the muscles it works (shins), coaching cues and the mistakes to avoid.

How to do it
- Stand tall with your heels resting flat on the floor and your toes/forefeet placed on a slight elevation or flat ground, leaning your upper back gently against a wall for support.
- Keep your legs completely straight without locking your knees aggressively.
- Flex your ankles to pull your toes and the front of your feet upward as high as possible toward your shins.
- Hold the peak contraction at the top for one second, feeling the burn on the front of your shins.
- Lower your forefeet slowly back down to the starting position under control.

- Pull toes high toward the shins
- Keep heels pinned to the floor
- Controlled eccentric descent
Common mistakes
- Lifting the heels off the ground
- Using a very short range of motion
- Rushing the repetitions
