ROAN: Gym Workout Log Tracker · Shahen Grigoryan IE · Effective 29 September 2026
ROAN has no accounts and no sign-in. Your workouts and health data stay on your devices. Below is everything the app does with data, in full.
Routines, workouts, sets, weights, personal records and settings are stored in a database on your iPhone and, if you use it, on your Apple Watch. They are not sent to us or stored on any server, except a routine you choose to share by link (below). The watch and the phone exchange workouts directly with each other through Apple’s WatchConnectivity; nothing passes through us.
Files leave the device only when you create them yourself: backing up
routines (a .roan file) or exporting workouts to CSV. Where that
file goes is decided by you in the iOS share sheet.
Sharing a routine by link. When you tap “Share routine”, that one routine (its name, days, exercises, sets, target weights and reps, and any custom exercises it uses) is uploaded to our server so that the link can open it. Anyone who has the link can see that routine. Nothing else is uploaded: no workouts, no history, no Health data and nothing that identifies you. To have a shared routine removed, write to us with the link.
With your permission, ROAN reads your heart rate and active calories to show them during and after a workout, and saves completed workouts to Apple Health. Health data stays on your devices. It is never sent to us or to third parties, never used for advertising, marketing or data mining, and never sold. You can change or revoke access at any time in the Health app or in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, your email or your card.
To know whether ROAN Pro is active, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated on your device and the purchase status that Apple reports. It is not linked to your identity. See the RevenueCat privacy policy.
The app may ask permission to notify you when a rest period ends. These notifications are scheduled on your phone and involve no push service: nothing about them is sent to us or to anyone else.
To understand which features are used and where people get stuck, the app sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC): which screens are opened and which actions are taken (for example, a workout started or finished, a routine created, the Pro screen opened), together with the app version, device model, operating system version, language and an approximate country derived from the IP address. Events are tied to a random installation identifier generated by Firebase, not to your identity.
Analytics never include your weights, sets, workout contents or any Health data. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is not collected and analytics are not used for advertising. See Google’s privacy policy and Firebase privacy information.
When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), an error-monitoring service, so that we can fix the fault. The report contains the app version, the device model and operating system version, the technical trace of the error, a short trail of what happened just before it (which screens you opened and which buttons you pressed) and the anonymous purchase identifier described above. It contains no name, no email, no payment details and no Health data. See the Sentry privacy policy.
There is no advertising, no advertising identifier (IDFA), no cross-app or cross-site tracking, and no selling of personal data. If this ever changes, this page will say so before the change reaches the app.
The app is not directed at children and collects no data that could identify anyone.
We hold no data that identifies you, so there is no account to access or close. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your devices; workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app. If you want the analytics events or crash reports of your installation removed, write to us with the date and the device model and we will delete them.
If this policy changes, the new version appears at this address with a new effective date.
